Programming instructor at Code Ninjas in Ajax. Over a hundred kids aged 7 to 14 learned to code and build games in my sessions.

Teaching code
Kids do not care about syntax lectures. Sessions worked best when a broken game needed fixing, so I leaned on debugging and logic as the main teaching tools and let students reason their way to the bug. Watching a nine year old explain an off-by-one error back to me never got old.
What I taught
The curriculum ran wider than the name suggests. Students started in the platform's own JavaScript-based language, then moved into Python, 3D modelling, and industry game engines like Unity and Godot. Getting a ten year old comfortable inside a real engine was the fun part.
